With his third release, this February’s ‘Ends Meet’, the Cairo-based electronic producer known as 3Phaz chooses to remain unidentified. Rather, 3Phaz continues to exist as a murky entity that surpasses the human condition. With his newest, he follows up the ideas first conjured up on his debut, ‘Three Phase’, which presented an unheard take on Egyptian Mahraganat and Shaabi sound. He was hastily welcomed into the international club circuit. Three years later, 3Phaz has returned, with a refreshed lease on life. Beneath the darkness, there is light, as the beatmaker finds new ways to transform the dancefloor into an escapist adventure.
