For the third time Le Guess Who? has initiated an educational project in collaboration with four different local high schools. 131 pupils delved into the program of Le Guess Who? 2019 during their art classes. The pupils formed duos and chose an artist from this year’s line-up, for whom they designed a new visual product based on the artist’s music, background story and visual output.
In this video portrait, we talk to several students from Utrecht graphic school X11 about their experiences with the music from festival artists.
Together with their finalized works, the students were portrayed by photographer Juri Hiensch. The portraits, and the ideas behind the works, are displayed in a special exhibition, located at the first floor of TivoliVredenburg, nearby the Ronda stage. Explore their creative products and views on this year’s artists.
