It’s with heavy hearts that we have to share that Tropical Fuck Storm will not be able to join us at Le Guess Who? this year. We were very much looking forward to welcoming them here in Utrecht. Because of their cancellation, the performances of Palm Springs, Gareth Liddiard and Lost Animal are also not happening.
Tropical Fuck Storm’s curation is still going ahead, and we’re pleased to announce that 20 Years of GNOD, MEMORIALS, Deradoorian, and Jules Reidy will be joining us this year.
The cancellation is due to an injury to band member Fiona Kitschin, and we’re sending her all our love and wishing her a speedy recovery. Below, you can read their statement:
We’re devastated to announce that TFS will be unable to perform at this year’s Le Guess Who?
Fi walked into a hole on the footpath and broke both of her ankles. Fi is working on healing, but for now she can't travel on doctor’s orders.
This is a huge disappointment, as Le Guess Who? is one of the world's greatest music gatherings, and we’ve looked forward to playing and curating the festival all year. But don’t let that stop you from attending, as we invited an exceptional group of musicians to play LGW, including أحمد [Ahmed], Amparo Heredia 'La Repompilla’, Bill Orcutt, Bleak Squad, Chuck Roth, Dirty Three, Etran de L'Aïr, FUJI||||||||||TA, goat (JP), Ishaaq Aarkistra & Ustad Hassan Haider Khan, Mark Fell & Pat Thomas, and ZÖJ.
We’re also excited that LGW has booked GNOD for a special 20 year anniversary show, Jules Reidy, and our Fire Records label mates Deradoorian and MEMORIALS.
Thank you, everybody, for being so understanding. If there were any way we could make LGW work, we would be there.
Until next time,
TFS
