Le Guess Who? has always thrived on the relationships with those who show up for it: artists, crew, volunteers, and the audience that keeps coming back to discover something new. Twenty years in, that spirit of togetherness is still what carries this festival forward and makes it resonate long after that special weekend in November.
Earlier this year, we reached out for your input on the idea of restructuring the festival to a three-day format. Your responses and commitment has been overwhelming—it has provided meaningful insight into what you value most about Le Guess Who?, and why you come back for more. More importantly, we are reminded yet again that our audience isn’t just one type of listener, but represents a wide range of perspectives and financial means.
At the same time, the reality is that we—as many other festivals and cultural organizations—are struggling with unparalleled cost increases across many aspects of our organization.
For Le Guess Who? 2027, we will expand our ticketing model to include a diversity of price options that better reflect our audiences. 4-Day Passes will have three different price options:
We’ve tried to keep the base price as close as possible to the current price. Each visitor will have the option to choose the price that best suits their personal situation. Note that all price options remain available until total capacity is sold out.
Some visitors have expressed that they’re willing to pay more to maintain the current four-day festival format, and we hope this will help secure this format for the future.
We're also listening to the people who write in honesty that they are finding it difficult to raise the necessary funds to visit the festival. That's why we will increase the capacity of discounted tickets for CJP and U-pas members, as well as the capacities for our Low Income Tickets (which will also include 4-Day Passes in 2027).
We're hoping to build a pricing system that creates a more equal playing field. Does one of our discounted ticketing options suit your needs? We're here for you. Are you able to chip in a bit more?
