Besides being one of Chicago’s finest producers, Kavain Space a.k.a. RP Boo is also known as the originator of footwork music. Emerging from Chicago house in the late 90’s, the genre includes high BPM-beats with wacky, vocal-oriented samples and distinctive high-hats and claps. With dance crews being an essential part of the scene, RP Boo’s music is of a propulsive and repetitive nature: rapid, bouncy beats have a weightless feel, floating free between abstraction and precision.
