For half a decade, Italy-hailing multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker Rebecca Salvadori has been enamored with the converging spot of performance, the moving image, and live filming. Out of this fascination emerges MESSENGERS, a film-in-the-making not content with expressing a single idea; instead, it is a sprawling, hybrid, multi-faceted experience that is at once a portrait of others, self, and a city in a moment in time. For Le Guess Who? Salvadori presents audiences with a renewed version of MESSENGERS in collaboration with light artist Charlie Hope and featuring live music by Kenichi Iwasa, Maxwell Sterling, and curators Bo Ningen, as well as footage of GAISTER.
