Electronic explorer James Holden is not only a musician, he’s also a producer, remixer, and the founder of the Border Community label, where he releases the music of equally genre bending electronic artists. His last album ‘The Inheritors’ is an intriguing voyage across electronic and psychedelic sounds, abstract drones, kraut, and African percussion. It was built from late night studio jams on modular synths and custom hybrid analogue-digital machines. Holden’s new album ‘The Animal Spirits’ enhances his past in trance music with his love for Moroccan Gnawa music.
