Idris Ackamoor & The Pyramids: 50th Anniversary Celebration

Idris Ackamoor has revived his legendary afro-jazz band The Pyramids before, but never quite like this. The epoch bringing them back for a new tour (to commence at Le Guess Who?) is one worth an epic celebration, as 2022 marks Ackamoor’s fiftieth (!) year as a performer with the group, first formed in 1972. They will unveil music from their upcoming commemorative double vinyl, ‘Afro Futuristic Dreams’, set for a 2023 release with Strut Records.
