Gruff Rhys
The words ‘wacky’ and ‘profound’ often walk hand-in-hand in the world of Gruff Rhys. The Welsh artist is best known as spearhead of perpetually wry pop oddballs Super Furry Animals, though his side projects and solo records are just as brilliant, both on a sonic and conceptual level. On his sixth album ‘Pang!’, Rhys joined forces with South African producer Muzi, creating a spike of cross-cultural exuberance that leapfrogs the everyday anxieties and political turmoil.
