U? returns to Utrecht for its fifth edition

On Saturday, 8 November, we present a festival playground in the Cartesius area. We collaborate with several venues, such as dB’s, De Nijverheid, NAR, Hof van Cartesius, VOGELFREI, Warmoes, De Havenloods, Boot 122 and Set-Up. Co-created with community curators, venue partners, various artists & collectives from Utrecht and beyond, the festival showcases a broad spectrum of programs, such as music, workshops, films, exhibitions, communal meals, conversations and much more.

On Sunday, 9 November, we present several events throughout the city, at venues such as De Voorkamer and Moira. All these events are collaborations with Utrecht based organisations, from grassroots collectives to cultural institutions, or community curators.

Community Curators

U? aims to collaborate intensively with a diverse selection of creative partners from Utrecht and beyond. Following the success of last year, U? is excited to continue co-creating the festival program with upcoming Netherlands-based curators. These curators will share the story of the community that surrounds them through music, audio/visual art, poetry, workshops, or any other discipline or format. The community curators for the 2025 edition of U? will be announced soon.

Artwork U? 2025

The artwork of U? 2025 is created by Studio Wantia (Sophie Wantia), a creative design studio located at Hof van Cartesius. Her work showcases a strong sense of playfulness where she experiments with her obsession and passion for color, material and shape. During U? 2024, Studio Wantia presented Moving Patterns, an installation at the Daktuin (Roof Garden) of Hof van Cartesius.
