LGW’s resident photographer Juri Hiensch has been rediscovering the city of Utrecht lately, capturing the unique character of several neighborhoods outside the city center and offering some inspiration for your next trip to Utrecht.
The first neighborhood in this photo & video series centers around the Tweededaalsedijk. Well, that’s a real Dutch tongue-twister. It is the name of the main street of a rather small neighbourhood Tweede Daalsebuurt in the northwest of the city. It was mainly built in the late 19th century as a place for the railway workers to live. Being located in the center of the Netherlands, Utrecht has the largest train station in the country.
