Le Guess Who? and COSMOS are excited to announce the continuation of their partnership with Berlin-based community radio Refuge Worldwide in 2025. Together, we will once again present sounds and stories from around the world, hand-picked by local artists.
Since 2021, Refuge Worldwide has become an important community radio and cultural hub, spreading cutting-edge music with a clear mission of solidarity and social activism.
COSMOS x Refuge Worldwide 2025
From now until the festival in November, COSMOS jumps on the Refuge Worldwide signal to present two hours of sounds from their ever-expanding network. We'll run the monthly radio broadcast every second Monday of the month from 5-7PM.
During Le Guess Who? 2025, Refuge Worldwide and COSMOS will once again team up for four full days of live radio at the COSMOS Foyer, a radio booth and performance space in our main festival venue, TivoliVredenburg.
Kilele Special
We're kicking off our 2025 collaboration with two shows: the first one comes from Nairobi, Kenya, where Kilele, East Africa's electronic music and innovation conference, is currently taking place. DJ, poet and activist Bizi Bingi has put together a stellar mix of contemporary African sounds, that capture the vibe of the summit.
Sharjah Mix
The second show comes courtesy of Sharjah Art Foundation, and our close friend Hasan Hujairi. Hasan is a Bahraini composer and artist with a DMA in music composition from Seoul National University. His research focuses are on reorienting narratives around the maverick composer tradition to include non-Western classical music and on maritime musical traditions from across the Western Indian Ocean region. He is the manager of the music department at the Sharjah Art Foundation, continuing his commitment to broadening musical perspectives and inclusivity.
In his mix, he weaves together a range of diverse music from Sharjah and across the United Arab Emirates.
