What you seek you shall find in Taipei sample-based psychedelic sibling duo Mong Tong 夢東’s music. Psychedelic journeys into the depths of Taiwanese folklore? Musings on the eighties’ media obsession with the supernatural? Nostalgia? Tradition? Humor? The list continues to grow. This summer, they are gearing up to expand upon their band’s cosmic lore with ‘Tao Fire 道火"’, another release by Kikagaku Moyo-ran Japanese label Guruguru Brain. Hom Yu and Jiun Chi will stitch into their rich tapestry of psychedelic sound gamelan music, phin guitar, tabla drums, and Taiwan sisomi for a brand-new all-encompassing concoction of sound.
