Mad Professor & Sista Aisha
24 HOUR DUB
The alias of Mad Professor probably came naturally for someone who built his own radio and telephone system at the age of 10 years old, and later his own mixing desk. In the early 1980s he launched his recording studio and label, which released hundreds of albums, owing him the legend status already in the mid-90s. Then he toured internationally and remixed tracks by a.o. Massive Attack, Depeche Mode, Jamiroquai, Bestie Boys, and collaborated with the Upsetter, Lee Scratch Perry and many more. For 24 HOUR DUB, he is joined by the First Lady of Dub Sista Aisha, a vocalist and long time collaborator on Mad Professor’s records.
This artist is part of 24 HOUR DUB: a 24-hour session of continuous dub sounds that brings together pioneers, poets, engineers, sound system architects, and a new generation of bass explorers. More info about the program can be found via leguesswho.com/24-hour-dub.
