Since its inception a decade ago, King Midas Sound’s gloom-ridden transmutations of dub, lover’s rock and ambient music have made an unyielding impression. Producer Kevin Martin (The Bug) initially formed the project with vocalists Roger Robinson and Kiki Hitomi, becoming an ever-shape-shifting unit in the years that followed. This year, the duo returned with 'Solitude', a bleak and barren spoken-word/ambient record that laments the crumbling of a relationship.
