Based in London, born in Lagos, Funmi Ohiosumah began calling herself Flohio as a teenager. Nowadays, her self-given alias is synonymous with the harsh, bleak electronic beats that surround her ‘brutalist’ sound, as The Guardian puts it. Having worked with the likes of L-Vis 1990 and Modeselektor, Flohio has steadily been building herself a reputation as one of the most ferocious voices in UK hip-hop for the past couple of years.
