Le Guess Who? exists to bring people together through music and art. U?, its freely accessible city program, is dedicated to celebrating creativity in all its diversity. For U? 2024, we are collaborating with five different NL-based community curators who will highlight their communities and creativity at the festival.
U? aims to collaborate intensively with a diverse selection of creative partners from Utrecht and beyond. We’re facilitating new experiences, connections, conversations and experiments with and between communities. Therefore, part of the U? program will be made by community curators: upcoming and eager, NL-based, curators who are deeply connected to their scene and community.
In 2024 we work together with YUMNA, a young, creative group of Muslim women sharing knowledge and exploring their different relationships to faith in today's society; Maardewân, a community of migrant creatives who have found themselves and each other in the Netherlands; Bibi Bannink, an 18-year-old HKU (The Utrecht School for the Arts) student who is active in the field of feminist punk and introduces a more interdisciplinary approach through concerts; Insan Larasati, a Rotterdam-based community organizer, DJ, designer and inclusivity officer who focuses on the Indonesian diaspora and organizes Indoqueer club nights and art exhibitions; and Raziyah Heath, an independent curator, programmer and community organizer who represents the BIPOC queer trans community in the fields of music and art.
