Le Guess Who? 2024 will host a rare and exclusive extended vinyl set by Theo Parrish. The acclaimed DJ now releases his new 2 track EP Traffic Jams, "a response to stagnation and nonmovement", via his Detroit based label Sound Signature. The first ever-flowing song Positive Mental Attitude Solves All is a tribute to the eternal elder and stalwart, musician Amp Fiddler. Together with the meandering track Traffic Jams, the two songs put together become Positive Mental Attitude Solves All Traffic Jams.

In the nineties, electronic music was flowering out of every crevice in Detroit. Theo Parrish has taken it upon himself to continue sowing the city’s seeds. The producer, DJ, and sound engineer founded the vinyl institution Sound Signature Recordings in 1997. He has also built a reputation for his unique performances, each an experience that cannot be repeated thanks to his sprawling mixes and knack for improvisation. In his rare, exclusive, and extended set, Theo Parrish will reshape once more what we call Black dance music and serve as an example of creative independence.
