Each year, Le Guess Who? invites trailblazing creatives to curate their own dedicated programs, highlighting their inspirations, emerging acts and fellow like-minded artists, with an emphasis on discovery and exploration.

Errol & Alex Rita, founders of the London-based musical movement Touching Bass, introduce their curation at Le Guess Who? 2024 with a playlist that they have personally put together with their favorite tracks of the diverse range of artists they invite.

At Le Guess Who?, Touching Bass will present two evenings: on Thursday, 7 November, Calm Roots, set in a church, is focused on the mediative power of music, and on Friday, 8 November, Touching Bass presents INNA is an in-the-round dance floor of inclusion, celebrating the Jamaican roots of soundsystem culture.

The playlist contains tracks from artists from both programs featuring o.a. trumpeter, multi-instrumentalist, creative composer/performer and author Wadada Leo Smith, who will perform together with his grandson Lamar Smith; emerging Cameroonian-born and Paris-based artist Astrønne; Jamaican dub master King Jammy, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of his music career at Le Guess Who?; legendary sound system and dub producer Aba Shanti-I; the London-based, of South Sudanese and British descent Mia Koden, who captivates the club scene with her bass-and-percussion-heavy mixes; pianist, composer, and producer Lionmilk, who is at home in the prospering electronic underground scene and the expansive local jazz community; interdisciplinary artist and poet Rohan Ayinde, who will perform together with Alex Rita; and South London poet and musician James Massiah.
