LGW’s resident photographer Juri Hiensch has been rediscovering the city of Utrecht lately, capturing the unique character of several neighborhoods outside the city center and offering some inspiration for your next trip to Utrecht.
The third photo & video series is dedicated to Transwijk & Kanaleneiland. These neighborhoods are situated in the southwest of Utrecht. Both were built in the fifties, making them look very similar and share a lot of local initiatives and platforms. Transwijk & Kanaleneiland are surrounded by two canals and the highway. One of the largest city parks in Utrecht, Park Transwijk, is located in this district.
