ISM Frequencies is the radio show on Refuge Worldwide by The Institute for Sound and Music Berlin. For its fifth episode, the program team of Le Guess Who? have put together a guest mix featuring a selection of the artists performing at the festival this year, in which they aimed for a slow, peaceful and transcendental hour of music with floating electronic waves, faded jazz and haunting vocals.
From avant-garde, jazz, hip hop and electronic to experimental, noise, indie and world music, this guest mix takes listeners on a journey through enriching sounds. It features a.o. Abdullah Ibrahim, Laurel Halo, Flore Laurentienne, Hinako Omori, Trees Speak, Batu and Nancy Mounir, to name just a few. Tune in below.
