Palestinian-born, Paris-based musician Kamilya Jubran, one of the most revered figures in the experimental and alternative Arabic music scenes, performs at Le Guess Who? 2023, curated by Heba Kadry. Relive the mesmerizing performance with our concert film.
About
Raised by her music-loving parents in Galilee, for 20 years she was part of Sabreen, the East-Jerusalem collective that toured internationally weaving Arabic folklore with jazz, rock, and other contemporary styles. Decades later, Jubran continues to inspire a new generation of musicians and audiences through her multi-disciplinary work, which designs 'the space to imagine an alternative sonic future', as described by The Wire.
