As guest curator at Le Guess Who? 2024, Touching Bass' Errol and Sammseed presented 'INNA', an in-the-round dance floor of inclusion, celebrating the Jamaican roots of sound system culture.
During this night, we created the short film INNA – an ode to the spiritual & emotional importance of sound system culture, featuring Touching Bass' Errol, Livwutang and Mia Koden, alongside the the custom, hand-built KrackFree Soundsystem from Eindhoven. Watch the film below.
Since its inception, Touching Bass has steadily established itself as one of London’s most important musical incubators, gaining cult status for its community spirit, musical eclecticism and intentional approach. Founded by Errol and Alex Rita, it is comprised of a community-come-club night, record label, staple NTS Radio show, concert series and curatorial studio.
Alongside the artists featured in the film, INNA also consisted of performances by King Jammy (celebrating the 50th Anniversary of his music career), Aba Shanti-I and Richard Akingbehin. Also check out the photo series by 36framez of INNA at Le Guess Who? here.
