Following the release of her 2024 live album Nostalgia, pianist, composer and vocalist Hania Rani now announces her new album NON FICTION - PIANO CONCERTO IN FOUR MOVEMENTS which will be released via Decca Records on 14 November.
The album was recorded at Studio 2, Abbey Road Studios in London with 45-piece symphonic orchestra of Manchester Collective lead by Rakhi Singh, conducted by Hugh Tieppo-Brunt, and features special guest performances by LGW25 guest curator Valentina Magaletti on drums and percussion and Jack Wyllie (Portico Quartet) on soprano saxophone.
NON FICTION is preceded by the first movement, I. Sonore - Animato - Meno mosso, which is available to stream now.
Hania Rani presents her alter-ego Chilling Bambino at Le Guess Who? 2025 for just the fourth time after shows in Warsaw, London and Osaka. This ever-evolving sonic identity foregrounds her love for the Prophet (a renowned polyphonic analogue synth) taking the listener on a sonic adventure through dark-tinted electronica and hypnotic rhythms.
Hania Rani presents Chilling Bambino at Le Guess Who? 2025 on Sunday, 10 November. Also performing at the festival are a.o. Valentina Magaletti, Lido Pimienta, The Dwarfs of East Agouza, Ali Sethi & Nicolás Jaar, and many more.
