Hailed as one of the greatest songwriter of his time, California-based artist Cass McCombs performed twice at Le Guess Who?, leading up to the release of his new album 'Tip of the Sphere' (out February 8th via ANTI- Records). Right after his second show (on the Sunday of the festival, as part of our Collaboratorium in Kytopia), McCombs headed to the Spoorwegmuseum (Dutch Railway Museum) in Utrecht to record an intimate Take A Show with the Paris-based La Blogothèque.
Filmed in different rooms with alternate setups, the recordings feature McCombs on electric guitar backed by a simple but striking harmonium and upright bass accompaniment. Here, he performs two new tracks from his upcoming album: new single 'Estrella' (released today), and the previously released track 'Sleeping Volcanoes'. Watch both sessions below.
