The first-ever GRAMMY-nominated artist from Niger was raised amidst governmental violence and persecution, and the force of resistance is brought out in each one of his electrifying riffs. Now, he releases Sahel via Partisan Records, his first full album in over five years. The album was produced by David Wrench (David Byrne, Frank Ocean, Caribou, The xx) and was recorded at Studio HIBA in Casablanca, Morocco. Tune in below.
