Bendik Giske & Sam Barker presented a surprise performance on the opening night of Le Guess Who? 2025, with light design by Theresa Baumgartner. Relive the performance with our concert film.
Both artists share a fondness for European techno culture with all its collective improvisation and transcendence. Corporeality and queer theory play a major role in Giske’s work, known for exploring the outer limits of the instrument and the body. Extensive use of circular breathing both stretches and shapes his compositions and improvisations. With a classical music education as his foundation, Barker has experimented extensively with atmospheric techno without beats, challenging and expanding the boundaries of dance music in Berlin and beyond.
