Star David Connection (Nyabinghi)
24 HOUR DUB
Born in Paramaribo, Suriname, Star David came to Europe in 1971 and began immersing himself in the music of the great Reggae musicians, among them, of course, Rastafari Bob Marley. In 1978, he stayed in Jamaica, where he met the master himself and was given the name ‘Star David’. Upon his return, he co- founded The Communications, the first Reggae band in the Netherlands, marking the beginning of a new movement in his hometown Rotterdam and across Europe, where people were only beginning to discover Reggae music. Star David witnessed a new generation and the changes in society, reflected in his events and festivals and through the music of his own band Reggae on the Move.
