After featuring on ‘COSMOS Embassy: China’, multifaceted Chinese-American artist Otay:onii is fully taking her practice (which spans music, performance, installation, and film composition) to the Le Guess Who? stage. Once upon a time New York-bound, originally from Haining, China, and now nested in Berlin, Otay:onii’s music is as well-traveled as she is; her masterful navigation of profound discussions on immigration, eastern and western perspectives, and divide bridging have garnered her widespread critical acclaim. The threads begun on the hypnotic and aptly-titled Dream Hacker, and expand on the new album True Faith Ain’t Blind.
