Born, raised, and based in Rotterdam, Nala Brown flawlessly mirrors the city’s boundless nature, expressing no desire to set restrictions to her sound. Her insistence on remaining unbound by genre makes her one of the scene’s most exciting voices. Nala Brown has been steadily heard in more and more places, having made her debut at Dekmantel Festival, Panorama Bar for CMT Festival, and Boiler Room in a short span of time. She can also be heard on her Okoro Radio show, ‘Ba Pa Geita’, where she regularly taps into her Cape Verdean roots. As part of Rotterdam-based collective AMPFEMININE, she inspires others to follow in her footsteps.
