There is something urgent about the music of Luz luz luz!, one of Mexico City’s most exciting experimental punk exports. Artists and collaborators Clothing and Emiliano Cruz pull us inward, making it so we can’t help but to face the overwhelming emotions and thoughts that reside within us. The duo’s gripping proposal is quite straightforward, in fact; just Cruz’s guitar and Clothing’s screams are needed for it to begin. But there is a third much-needed component for their formula to fully work: the stage, where boundaries are crushed and we can finally be our untamed selves.
