New York City singer-songwriter Joanna Sternberg has made a delightful splash this year, with the release of their second album ‘I’ve Got Me’, which music critics were quick to shower with praise. And for good reason; on it, Sternberg turns the despair of 2019’s ‘Then I Try Some More’ - their debut - into something much brighter and happy, but still as sharp as ever. Making the guitar a diary, Sternberg draws listeners in through their open heart and locks them in through their wit, talent, and, says Pitchfork, a ‘humble loneliness’ that, without trying to, is ‘helplessly charming’.
