Luc Bersier, Low Bat, Leonard Prochazka and Ariel Garcia may all hail from different places in Western Europe, but the Jean-Luc project drew them together to make several vibrant EPs – each with their own idiosyncratic identity. Be it a crossover of Krautrock and French chanson, or a mellow soundtrack to a ‘summer postcard found in a big hangover’, their music is ambitious not just in its own shape, but in the peculiar space it seeks to occupy as well.
