Hatis Noit’s vocal awakening came at the age of sixteen, during a trip to Nepal in which she was moved by a female monk’s chant. This experience led her to begin exploring the visceral power of voice herself later. Her 2022 debut, ‘Aura’, is a brooding rumination on the emotional capability of music. Uniquely, it is nearly entirely composed of her voice, which is able to play varied characters and emotions, both whimpering and belting. For Noit, her music’s own aura is best understood on stage, as she has said herself that ‘art is a shared moment’.

For the concerts at the Jacobikerk during Le Guess Who?, Uncloud and Light-Up Collective will be creating an immersive projected space.
