GAISTER

With a collaborative approach that transcends each of its members’ experiences, languages, and backgrounds, GAISTER is an exciting new encounter between soprano vocalist Olivia Salvadori (Tutto Questo Sentire), drummer and percussionist Akihide Monna (Bo Ningen), and multi-instrumentalist Coby Sey. Treasuring conceptual rigour and improvisation, the three musicians are best equipped to break the rules - as they know them best. Following the release of their new album (recorded at Greenhouse Studios in Reykjavík) GAISTER will make their Netherlands debut at Le Guess Who?.
For this performance GAISTER will be collaborating with visual artist Charlie Hope. Hope developed a specific lighting design and atmosphere that is part of an ongoing conversation between the artists. Charlie Hope is London based visual artist using light, space, video and coding to build sensorial images and environments across performance, installation & video. Creating multi-textured environments, in a range of national + international contexts incl. galleries, clubs, theatre with collaborators across sound, dance, art & film.
