C*NDY BR34K
The vibe: glitchy, bitchy, breaky, ravey, noisey—sounds that are like candy for the brain, combined with West Bengali DIY speaker culture; Dek Bass. In addition to the amazing artist, curator of this program, Etta Harkness Bartholdi aka Etta HarBar, will build a wall of speakers with prominent artist and soundsystem expert/builder DJ Khabir. Think bass so heavy you will drop to the ground. The lineup she has curated are people who are both extremely fun—"I can't listen to them without smiling"—and also people who push sound. Rana Ghose, the manager of Khabir, talks about air and how you feel sound. Imagine feeling the air of a lineup filled with glitchy rap, neogabber, candy jungle and many more adjectives to describe Goatstain, Keinponny, and Regenboogy. Even more, Khabir will show us what his soundsystem can do. And as a noise artist, Etta HarBar can't resist playing over these speakers.
