macalla [o3o]
over the past years, o3o has become a meeting point for artists and listeners exploring the edges of contemporary music through radio broadcasts, performances, and community-led programming. with an ethos rooted in curiosity, o3o brings together emerging voices alongside established sounds, treating genres as starting points rather than limitations.
for U? 2026, o3o presents "macalla", derived from the term 'son of cliff', conveying echoes and reverberations through space and time. drawing from ambient, folk traditions, guitar music, dub, and contemporary electronics, macalla brings a program of performances navigating the porous boundaries between experimental music and accessible listening, highlighting artists finding new connections between improvisation, songwriting, and sound design.
