Multidisciplinary artist Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti is a composer, singer and performer whose talents pour out into multiple projects, the latest being AWICHAS. Rooted in Andean traditions, where sound acts as a bridge between worlds, the ensemble explores music as a practice deeply connected to ecology, community and cyclical time. They present a multimedia concert that transforms microtonal flute data from ancient Andean rituals into layered compositions for electronics, percussion and voice. Repetitive rhythms and trance-inducing tonalities evoke subversive memories of the mountain’s surface, while pulsing textures echo the underground energy of the city’s nightly club life.
