Arsenal Mikebe ft. HHY & Valentina Magaletti
Boundary-pushing percussion ensemble Arsenal Mikebe transforms traditional rhythm practices into raw, hypnotic soundscapes that echo the power and precision of electronic music, while remaining entirely acoustic. At the heart of their sonic identity is a custom-built steel percussion system inspired by the inner workings of the Roland TR-808 sampler. Played with intense physicality, the instrument becomes a living drum machine—a kinetic sculpture channeling waves of polyrhythmic force and metallic resonance. During Le Guess Who?, the trio will be joined by their longtime collaborator and album producer HHY (aka Jonathan Uliel Saldanha), whose presence on stage brings the live sound closer to the record's full vision with added pressure and depth, alongside iconic percussionist and returning festival favorite, drummer and composer Valentina Magaletti.
