Alan Sparhawk is entering uncharted territory. In 2022, long-time musical partner vocalist and drummer Mimi Parker, with whom Sparhawk founded the mythical slowcare band Low three decades ago, passed away. Their last record, ‘Hey What’, released a year before Parker’s passing, was released to universal acclaim, marking a peak in their quiet, yet remarkable musical journey. After disbanding Low last year, Sparhawk has been playing alongside various friends and family and has featured on records by Yo La Tengo, Trampled by Turtles, Peder Mannerfelt, and more. This fall, Sparhawk is returning to Europe to play some select solo shows.
