Sounds of Cabo Verde
Acácia Maior is more than just a collective; it's a living organism deeply rooted in Cabo Verdean soil, yet always in search of new horizons. At the heart of this project, Henrique Silva and Luís Firmino serve as the guiding force, opening a portal of constant transformation within the musicians’ ensemble. Through this vision, Acácia Maior invites the audience to enter a living ecosystem that blends various genres of Cabo Verdean music, such as morna, funaná, coladeira, mazurca, tabanka and batuku.
This artist is part of Sounds of Cabo Verde, a special program dedicated to the diversity of Cabo Verde music culture, its traditions and the Cabo Verdean diaspora in the Netherlands.
