Gebroeders Dieleman van Eeckhout is the new collaborative project of Colin H. van Eeckhout (Amenra) and broeder Dieleman. The former is captain of one of metal's most innovative live acts, whereas the latter writes idiosyncratic Zealandic folk songs, intersecting pop and experimental idioms. Both have at least one thing in common; they are performers who achieve a captivating spiritual fervor on stage.

Earlier this year, the duo recorded their collaborative album at the Mennonite Church in Middelburg; recordings that were made made possible by Le Guess Who?. During the recordings, we visited Colin and Tonnie in Middelburg to discuss their recordings, faith, grief, brotherhood, and musical playgrounds. Watch the results below:

"We didn’t really know each other yet. But instantly, there was this brotherhood that felt centuries old while it was still very young. Throughout a human’s life, you sporadically meet someone who you have a deeper connection with, which feels more special than an ordinary encounter.
