Before the release of her first record a decade ago, Quebecois musician Myriam Gendron was busking in Paris, singing Leonard Cohen songs. In a striking full-circle moment, the artist's newest release, Mayday, sees her inching closer than ever to the icon's delicate balance of light and darkness.
