"Moin are subtly but brilliantly reinventing rock music", wrote Pitchfork last year in their review of the London three-piece's album Paste. Rest assured, they keep doing exactly that with the release of their new EP Clocked Off, self-described as "Outsider jams that rolled out of the studio. Part experiments, part sketches."
Comprised of Tom Halstead and Joe Andrews of Raime (Blackest Ever Black, RR) and percussionist Valentina Magaletti (a.o. Vanishing Twin, Tomaga, Lafawandah), Moin have been working together intermittently for over 10 years. The band navigate a revolving set of influences including alt rock, post-punk, art-rock and doom metal as well as more abstract ideas found in improv and found sound recording. Tune in to Clocked Off below.
