After performing across Europe over the last years, Mark Ernestus' Ndagga Rhythm Force returns to Le Guess Who? 2025 with the exciting new album Khadim, an explosive and contagious mix of dub techno and mbalax drumming.
Led by by percussionist Bada Seck and singer Mbene Diatta Seck, the ensemble - joined by an extensive cast of characters from the Dakar scene - is an exhilarating percussive powerhouse, laced with sharp electronics and dub bass.
Proceeding with his travel and research, the veteran DJ and mastermind behind the group - Mark Ernestus - is an artist in constant evolution and eager to discover new sounds. For Resident Advisor's RA.1000 podcast, he contributes a two-hour set of amapiano music, "one of the world's most vital new genres".
"Trace Mark Ernestus's path, and you trace the evolution of electronic sound itself. In the mid '80s, Ernestus craved a place to share and sell the mind-blowing records he was listening to coming out of the US." - Resident Advisor
