Tampa's They Hate Change is a project born out of the duo's more-than-encyclopedic sonic knowledge. In between East Coast hip-hop influences and hyperlocal bass-music leanings, Dre and Vonne bond over their omnivorous appreciation of everything from grime to emo.

The duo recently released their new album 'Finally, New' via Jagjaguwar to critical acclaim: it was chosen as one of the best rap albums of 2022 so far by Consequence of Sound; VICE described them as "The New Age Experimental Hip Hop Duo of Your Dreams"; and Pitchfork wrote: "even amid a deluge of rap music made with sounds from the club, little else sounds like this."
