In anticipation to their show at Le Guess Who? 2025, tune into a new Halloween double single by no wave eccentrics Geo. The quartet’s music assembles skeletal agit-funk grooves with cartoonish chromatics and jagged art-punk vignettes, sculpting spaces where noise and chaos become oddly infectious.
On their new single release Slijm/Wobbo, they assemble less guitar, less words, but just as much groove and percussion on the way. Slijm is a total earwurm; grooves rising from a dark alley at night. B-side Wobbo continues this feeling, with the band seemingly crying out from a gutter. This is music befitting the search for words and sounds in a society that seems to be falling from grace.
Soundtracks for dystopian movies, ditch-rock from the cracks of the earth, for dancing on volcano’s, for feeling grimy in a field of daisies, for whatever anyway.
Geo perform at Le Guess Who? 2025 on Friday, 7 November. Also performing at the festival are a.o. Earth Ball, Goblin Daycare, Mclusky and many more.
