DJ Fitz, LGW resident DJ, releases FITZ MIX: a cassette with rare melancholic jams from around the world
DJ Fitz is a regular guest of Le Guess Who? and to be considered our resident DJ, seeing that he has participated in pretty much each edition of the festival. Fitz is also one of the world’s primary authorities in making obscurities part of a larger canon, and he has now released a cassette with super rare melancholic jams from all around the world.
FITZ MIX enters the traffic from a sentimental place, throwing up prized finds from corners unknown, bought on digging trips from India to Turkey and way beyond. Synth secrets come from Thieves Bazaar in Mumbai, jazz fire from Poland, and psych spirals that appear to be from both Eastern and Western origin. Fitz gets personal and candid, revealing visions from the world at large, and his surefooted position within it as a searcher, sharer and soul-centred man.
