Water Damage presents Static Ecstatic
Experimental rock collective Water Damage return to Le Guess Who? with their ritual repetition therapy of psychedelia and kraut rock. Guided by the motto “Maximal Repetition Minimal Deviation”, the psych-drone ensemble begins their shows with one musical idea and gradually develops it, building a hallucinatory wall of sound: a palimpsest of improvised motifs, layered effects and perpetual rhythmic patterns. For this occasion, this ethos will expand into Static Ecstatic: a durational performance that pushes their sonic language even further. The core line-up—composed of multiple drummers and multiple stringed instruments—will be joined by various guests for a cathartic extended set.
