The Anonymous Project
Le Guess Who? premieres a new format as part of its 2023 festival edition. The Anonymous Project is a new avenue for artists to present their work and for listeners to discover it. During The Anonymous Project, artists will perform in a white cube on stage with scenography commissioned to ensure the artists will remain anonymous at all times: before, during and after the performance.
With this project, we want to create a space to experiment freely and to explore new sounds and new directions, without the judgement or expectations based on the artist’s previous work, their public profile or the name they may have built. For listeners, we hope it will create an experience that is 100% pure, focused on the exploration of sound without any preconceptions. These performances mark the start of your festival experience with exactly what Le Guess Who? stands for: the imaginative and transformative power of sound.
